With just about any serious discussion about contemporary a cappella in America today, the 30,000 lb gorilla in the conversation is definitely CASA (the Contemporary Acapella Society of America). Their omnipotence over the scene is unrivaled. Their blog has become the definitive source for breaking a cappella news, career building/destroying a capella album & concert reviews and, of course, acagossip. They're like Fox News, Ben Brantley and Gawker combined. They 'are' contemporary a cappella today.
